Meet the Team: Kumasi, Winter, 2018

Welcome to our new cohort of Challenges Worldwide International Citizen Service volunteers, or more formally our new team of “Business Support Associates”.  Over the following 3 months, they will be learning Professional Consulting accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), UK with Challenges Worldwide and using their new skill set to give support to SME’s across Kumasi, Ghana. Self-Profile: I live in Manchester, UK. I recently graduated from the University of Warwick in Engineering Business Studies. I applied to ICS to make a difference working in an SME, gain personal development, and experience another culture. My main hobbies are running, music, football and travelling.
Favourite Ghanaian Food: Red Red
Fun Fact: I have an obsession with Irn Bru and used to drink over 2 litres/day.

Meet the Team: EmilyFull name: Emily Hamilton-Peach

Age: 25
Role: Team Leader
Simple Self Profile: My professional past has been focused around the third sector, mainly in project/event management, campaign support and volunteer management. More recently, I’ve spent some time enjoying the outdoors as a Sea Kayak Guide. I’m excited to mix all of these skills together, and learn loads more, to help the SMEs and the volunteers get the most out of their time with Challenges.
Favourite Ghanaian Food: ooo. Tough choice. At the moment I’m split between Red Red, Jollof (obviously Ghanaian not Nigerian) and Peanut Soup.
Fan Fact: I once rode an ostrich. A trotro is definitely quicker!
